Philippine Authorities Deport 43 Chinese and 1 Vietnamese Nationals Involved in Illegal Online Gambling Operation

In a decisive move against illegal online gambling activities, the Philippine government deported 43 Chinese nationals and one Vietnamese national on February 22. These individuals were found to be involved in illicit online gambling operations in Pasay City, Manila.

The deportation took place at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1, signaling a strong stance by Philippine authorities against such criminal activities.

This expulsion marks the fifth batch of foreign nationals to be deported in connection with illegal gambling operations since the arrests made in October 2023. The arrests were carried out by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, the Department of Justice, and the Philippine National Police.

The first batch of deportees consisted of 180 Chinese nationals, followed by 21 Vietnamese nationals, and then 5 Malaysians. This recent batch adds to the tally, emphasizing the government's commitment to eradicating illegal gambling activities within its borders.

The Philippine government remains steadfast in its efforts to combat organized crime and uphold the rule of law, sending a clear message that illegal activities will not be tolerated.
