British boxing champion Amir Khan, 38, has revealed that he relocated to Dubai with his family after experiencing a terrifying armed robbery in the UK. The incident, which occurred in East London in April 2022, left him deeply shaken and fearful for his family's safety. Khan and his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, were confronted by a gunman who stole his £70,000 diamond-encrusted watch at gunpoint.

Following the traumatic event, Khan decided to move with his wife and three children to Dubai, citing the UAE’s strict laws and enhanced security measures. He expressed feeling much safer in Dubai, where he believes crime is significantly lower, even saying he can leave his car doors unlocked without worry.
