Five Roads to Be Temporarily Closed in Dubai Due to Cycling Event
Dubai, February 1, 2025 — The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has announced temporary road closures on Sunday, February 2, in light of the upcoming 2025 L'Étape Dubai cycling race.
According to the RTA, five major roads will be affected: Oud Metha Road, Dubai-Al Ain Road, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Road, Expo Road, and Lahbab Street.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, including Ras Al Khor Road and Emirates Road, until the event concludes. The RTA has urged drivers to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra travel time to ensure timely arrival at their destinations.
The race is scheduled to begin at 6:30 AM from the Dubai Design District and will cover a distance of 101 kilometers, concluding at Expo City Dubai.
