Dubai Introduces New Digital Payment Option with Tabby Integration

In a move to enhance convenience and flexibility in public service payments, the Government of Dubai—represented by Digital Dubai and the Ministry of Finance—has announced the integration of Tabby into the DubaiPay platform. DubaiPay serves as the centralized payment gateway for government entities and service providers across the emirate.

With this integration, residents, tourists, and businesses in Dubai can now access Tabby’s "buy now, pay later" feature, allowing for secure and flexible deferred payments 24/7. Tabby joins a broad range of existing payment options on DubaiPay, including credit cards, debit cards, e-wallets, online banking, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Operated and developed by the Dubai Government, the DubaiPay system adheres to the highest international standards and supports a wide variety of payment channels. Users can select their desired service on a provider’s website, then complete payment via DubaiPay by choosing Tabby, verifying their identity with a one-time password (OTP), and setting up an installment plan.

The move marks another step forward in Dubai’s push toward becoming a fully digital and customer-centric smart city.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has responded by urging countries in the region to collaborate in dismantling these networks. China has committed to cracking down on scam call centers and rescuing tens of thousands of Chinese nationals lured into illegal operations.
